This is still my favorite pic of these two. Unfortunately, this picture also caused a lot of grief to me early on. On facebook, I was trying to make a point that I only wanted one of these beasts. I only wanted ONE cat. Due to odd circumstances, however, I ended up baby-sitting both for a bit as the rescuer had to leave town. Several of my friends told me I needed to keep both. So, to prove a point, I set up a kickstarter campaign to say, cats are expensive. My last cat, toward her final days cost me thousands. I'm not rolling in dough. So, I challenged my friends to raise the cash. They didn't (proving my point) but one of my older 'friends' took it upon himself, due to a misunderstanding on his part, to accuse me of taking money from my friends knowing full well I wasn't going to keep the sister.
Well, he didn't know what he was talking about. He was wrong in so many ways, but his post caused a huge backlash...
This picture was the picture that said... Piper and I having a conversation about her sister having to leave. I had planned on having a whole series of pics in various states of focus and story leading up to the realization we had to keep her. But, his post kind of ruined the whole thing. People defriended me ( they did return after I explained the situation). But, it was very odd for a bit.
However, the sister did stay. Her name became Thistle and these two are seemingly inseparable.
But this picture still makes me smile. Poor Thistle, seemingly on trial. Piper looking quite concerned.
